About Continue
Continue is the assistant for people who do not want their code leaving the building, or who want to choose the model themselves. It is an open-source extension that connects to hosted APIs or to a local model through Ollama, and its behaviour is configured in a file you own. It does completion, chat and edits. The trade-off is setup: it is a kit rather than a product, and the quality you get depends on the model you connect.
